This is a great opportunity for a dynamic, professional individual qualified in an appropriate discipline to join a forward thinking college to develop and teach across a range of courses which include Functional Skills English, ICT and a range of courses which are designed to develop and prepare young people for the world of work.

You will be part of the Foundation Studies team that works within the Directorate of Health, Education and Creative Industries and will primarily be working with learners who have learning difficulties and disabilities. 

You will deliver and assess on a variety of Entry and Level 1 programmes including maths and English functional skills.  Experience of working with learners with learning difficulties and disabilities and behaviour difficulties is essential. You will be required to provide a supportive and professional environment that will aid the development of individual and groups of learners. You will be expected to be organised with excellent time management and administrative skills. You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and show a flexible and professional attitude. Experience of delivering Functional Skills English and/or Functional Skills ICT desirable but not essential.

You will ideally be educated to a minimum of level 3 and possess a relevant teaching/training qualification.

This post holds 828 delivery hours, per academic year (Pro rata for part time hours).
