Thriller play brings intrigue and twists to Create
A tale of the 1970s and a face from the past is the theme of Veronica’s Room showing at West Nottinghamshire College’s Create Theatre.
Veronica's Room entwines fantasy with reality
The play, by Zodiac Theatre, is being given a double showing on 27 and 28 February and begins in 1973 with an older couple who are completely amazed that Susan looks exactly like the long-dead Veronica.
When they ask her to come home and pretend to be Veronica to make a dying woman happy, it seems like such a small thing to ask.
But suddenly, things aren’t going the way Susan expected. As a child, Susan was told by her mother to talk to strangers…she should have listened.
Veronica’s Room is an absorbing spider’s web, entwining fantasy and reality, with a jarring and surprising climax.
Tickets for the show, which starts at 7.30pm, can be purchased from Zodiac Theatre by calling 07723 419071 and cost £9 each or £7 for concessions.
