A merry Christmas market
Students turned on their entrepreneurial and festive spirit yesterday as they launched West Nottinghamshire College’s Christmas market (9 December).

With around twenty stalls to choose from, shoppers could buy a range of handmade goods, crafted by the students. Gifts included Christmas cards, wooden games and accessories, bath treats, personalised wine glasses, sweets and cookies and festive decorations.
Pupils from Wynndale Primary School attended and sold their selection of home-made glass baubles and there were prize raffles to support King’s Mill Hospital’s children’s ward, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice and Guide Dogs For The Blind.
Proceeds from the market, which was held at the Derby Road campus, went to one of the chosen charities or was credited back into the students’ own enterprise projects.

Samantha, 20, said: “We had a great time and made some good sales. All the proceeds from our stall will be going to the children’s ward at King’s Mill Hospital.”
