Free hair and beauty mini-treatments at college showcase
People can take advantage of complimentary hair and beauty mini-treatments and sample some free food and drink, courtesy of an open event at West Nottinghamshire College’s Lifestyle Academy.
A range of mini-treatments will be available
The college is staging a special showcase of its salons, spa and fine-dining facilities which are open to the public on a commercial basis while also helping train the next generation of hairstylists, beauty therapists, chefs and front-of-house professionals.
It takes place on Friday (7 November) at the £11 million flagship building at its Derby Road campus, which is home to its new salons and spa, called Revive, and fine-dining restaurant, Refined.
There are three separate sessions that people can book on to – at 9.45am, 10.15am and 11am.
Activities taking place throughout the morning include demonstrations in the hair and beauty salons, mini-treatments and food and drink tasters.
Visitors can also take advantage of a 10% discount for January and February bookings at Revive and Refined.
Amanda Jogela, head of lifestyle, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for people to discover the services on offer and learn more about our approach to preparing young people for careers in the hair, beauty, hospitality and catering industries.
“Revive and Refined give advanced-level students the opportunity to work with paying customers and gain that all-important practical experience while also providing the community with facilities that rival most high-end establishments.
“The salons, spa and restaurant have built up a loyal and dedicated customer base, and we’re now looking forward to showing them off to an even wider audience.”
Spaces are limited; therefore booking is essential on 01623 413615.
