Best of British at BAY6

Classic British fayre will be on the menu at West Nottinghamshire College’s BAY6 Centre and Coffee Bar.

A selection of hot and cold food will be available as part of its British Week menu, which runs from Monday to Friday (April 20-24).

It includes a full English breakfast, broccoli and apple soup, hot beef cobs, strawberry shortcake and English cream tea. Students with learning difficulties will help catering staff prepare the meals before serving them to customers.

Food will be served from 10am to 2pm, except the full English breakfast, which is available until 11.30am.

British Week is the latest in a series of specially-themed menus at the centre, which provides a practical training and working environment for students with learning difficulties or disabilities.

It follows the St Patrick’s and Easter around the World menus designed for March and April.

The centre, in Woodhouse Road, Mansfield, is open to the public for hot and cold refreshments.  It also sells hand-made gifts produced by the students.

People can just turn up, although parties of eight or more are advised to book a table on 01623 413027.
