Coming to Mansfield’s Create Theatre on Saturday 17 May, the lives of Sofia, Mike and Bert will be colourfully portrayed by international theatre company – Babakas.
Mike’s dead dad’s friend’s daughter wants him to father her child. His boyfriend Bert isn’t convinced.
Their housemate Sofia has her own fish to fry. She needs to find a man before it’s too late, but her dad keeps getting in the middle.
This inventive comedy exploring the father and child relationship won the Bite Size Commission award in 2012 and brings a story to the stage that relates to us all.
Theatre co-ordinator Adam Pownall said: “This is a unique, alternative style of performance and will strike a chord with anyone who is a father or has a father.
“I would encourage all the family to come and enjoy this emerging, contemporary theatre company in action. It’s definitely one to reflect on!”
Tickets for the 7.30pm performance cost £10, £8 for concessions and £6 for students and can be purchased by visiting www.createtheatre.co.uk or by calling 01623 413363. The show is suitable for those aged twelve upwards.
