Noah's Ark docks in Mansfield
A dark and humorous twist on the tale of Noah’s Ark is coming to Create Theatre this month courtesy of Nonsuch Theatre company.
Aqua Alta portrays Noah in a different light
Noah, the most prosperous of the religious billionaires, has landed on his feet; he’s just built the world’s largest luxury cruise ship – The Marshmallow, complete with its own floating menagerie.
Combining extreme physicality, dark humour and song, the show, called Aqua Alta is coming to the stage on Saturday 10 May.
It will transport the audience to a world where mythology and music combine, and where historic tales from years past merge with the foreboding reality of six beautiful unicorns trapped in a chamber facing the question – what do you do when Noah leaves you to drown?
Create Theatre’s co-ordinator Adam Pownall said: “We’re very excited to be welcoming one of Nottingham’s newest and most exciting theatre companies. Their take on Noah’s Ark will keep the audience engaged and enthralled and we’re delighted to be the first port of call before they take the show on a year-long international tour.”
Tickets for the show, which starts at 7.30pm, cost £11 each or two tickets cost £18 and can be purchased by visiting www.createtheatre.co.uk or by calling 01623 413363.
