An enterprising Easter time
An Easter themed market is coming to West Nottinghamshire College for people to stock up on seasonal gifts.
Members of the public will be able to purchase fruit and vegetables as well as gifts on Wednesday 9 April.
Featuring over thirty stalls, the market, which is open from 10.00am to 3.00pm, will see students selling cakes, handmade cards, potted plants, jewellery, custom-decorated Easter eggs as well as candles and bath salts in the college’s covered courtyard at the Derby Road campus.
All products have been handmade by students as part of entrepreneurial projects while on their courses and all profits made from the market will go towards investing back into each business initiative.
Also at the market there will be items to buy from The Body Shop at Home and an orienteering activity is being staged by the college’s sport development team, while the health, welfare and safety team will be on hand to pass on health tips.
The college will also be promoting the next National Citizen Service (NCS) project being run over the summer period. The NCS is a government-led initiative designed to support young people in the transition to adulthood through residential projects and community-based activities.
