Students test for festival
University-level performance students are putting on a show to explore their potential to act at a national festival – through the power of words.
A Play on Words will show off students' talents
A Play on Words, devised by The Diced Soup company, will be performed by West Nottinghamshire College students on the BA (Hons) Applied Practice (Theatre) course.
It’s a play about words; an exploration of the power of words, sometimes humorous, sometimes heartfelt and always entertaining and is performed at Create Theatre on 21 February.
Their performance is not just for entertainment, as present in the audience will be a representative from the National Students Drama Festival (NSDF), looking to see if they fit the bill for a performance place at the festival in April.
The NSDF will take place in Scarborough from 12 to 18 April and is open to people aged 16 to 25. It will feature performances, workshops, discussions, masterclasses and entertainment in venues across Scarborough, including the Stephen Joseph Theatre, University of Hull Scarborough Campus and the Scarborough Spa.
The show, which starts at 7pm, is a tickets on the door only event, and costs £3 per person.
