Battles with eating disorder come to stage
A critically-acclaimed production tackling the issues of an eating disorder is coming to Mansfield, after winning awards at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe.
The challenges and emotions connected to anorexia are being tackled through a performance at Create Theatre on Monday 11 October from 7.30pm.
Mess, by Caroline Horton, won Best Ensemble at the 2012 Stage Awards in Edinburgh. Caroline was also nominated for a 2013 Olivier Award.
Brought to the stage by China Plate Theatre Company, characters Josephine, Boris and Sistahl unflinchingly tackle the subject and the performance is suitable for school and college groups (year 9+).
Students at the college are being invited to see a performance of Mess and group discounts are available for other schools and colleges. To enquire about discounts, contact Adam Pownall on 01623 627191 ext 8301.
Tickets for the show cost £12 or £9 for concessions and can be purchased by calling 01623 413363 or visiting www.createtheatre.co.uk
