Reflections of a region come to theatre
Twelve aspiring theatre-makers from across the East Midlands will be taking theatre goers on a trip down the River Trent in July.
‘Due Course’ will characterise the region’s inbetween-ness – neither North nor South and the audience will witness a ruthless corporation whose leaders have taken drastic steps in the name of progress.
The story, which is taken from a selection of scripts from the DREAM UP writing competition, mirrors the intricate path of the river flowing, coursing, meandering and often changing its mind, often bursting its banks.
The performance by New Perspectives Theatre Company’s STEP UP Creatives Ensemble charts the lives of two people whose future together seemed certain until life threw up some unexpected events and a mother and daughter will embark on an extraordinary journey from the river banks.
Tickets for the show on 2 July at 7.30pm cost £5 per person and can be purchased at Create Theatre’s box office on 01623 413363 or via the website at www.createtheatre.co.uk
