Ryan’s fine food to tempt diners
Duck, beef, salmon, quail, pork and sea bass are just some of the dishes on a graduating chef’s menu at West Nottinghamshire College next week.
Ryan Goward, 23, from Mansfield will be serving a five-course extravaganza to diners at the college’s Refined restaurant on Friday (14 June) as he graduates from his catering course.
He has combined his studies on the Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Professional Cookery with working part-time at The Golden Eagle pub in Mansfield and enjoys cooking main courses most of all.
Ryan enjoys professional chef Gordon Ramsey’s cooking style and has dreams of travelling to Australia to further enhance his catering skills.
He said: “I got the taste for catering when I helped my chef friend out some years ago and I knew I wanted to get into the industry. He has since gone on to work for Gordon Ramsey at his Bread Street Kitchen restaurant in London.
“I’ve learnt so much in my three years at college and our chef tutor is inspirational and has built up my confidence with cooking.
“I’m looking forward to the graduation meal as well as my work experience over the summer at Hambledon Hall near Melton Mowbray.”
