Time to think higher
People can learn more about the range of higher education (HE) courses on offer at West Nottinghamshire College by attending a special open day.
The event, on Friday 10 May from 10am to 2pm at the college’s Derby Road campus in Mansfield, is being held to promote its growing number of university-level courses, which includes HNDs, HNCs and foundation degrees offering routes to full honours degrees.
It is aimed particularly at those wanting to start a HE programme in September.
Eleanor Taylor, head of higher education and international, said: “We provide a growing number of university-level courses which, from September, will include six full honours degrees.
“To ensure affordability, we’re maintaining our current tuition fees of £5,500 per year for full-time courses starting in September and £3,000 per year for part-time courses.
“Other benefits of studying closer to home include savings on accommodation and living costs.
“Achieving higher education qualifications can help local people succeed in a competitive job market or enhance their career prospects, so we urge people to come along and find out more.”
Visitors will be able to speak to staff and student advocates and gain advice on student finance and other support available.
There is no need to book. Visitors can just turn up on the day.
