Taste of Arabian nights at café
A feast of Arabian-themed food is on the menu next week at West Nottinghamshire College’s BAY6 coffee bar and café.
From Monday to Friday (15 to 19 April), students will be serving a range of dishes including fool Nabed – a broad bean soup with a roll and butter for £1.50. Also on the menu is Meze – a small selection of dishes including lamb kofta for £2.50.
Diners can also tempt their tastebuds with chicken tagine for £3.50 or falafel burgers served in a pitta pocket with salad for £2.
Dessert will be a traditional Arabian sweet semolina dish of Basbousa with almonds in lemon and rose water syrup for £1.
Food will be available from 10.00am to 2pm, with tea, coffee, cakes and sandwiches also served during these times at the centre in Woodhouse Road, Mansfield.
People can just turn up although parties of eight or more are advised to book a table on 01623 413027.
BAY6 is open to the public for hot and cold refreshments and provides a practical training and working environment for students with learning difficulties or disabilities.
