Be a legend this half term
The greatest Greek myths ever told will be performed to audiences at West Nottinghamshire College’s Create Theatre this half term.
Unmythable – presented by professional Temple Theatre Company – will recall the story of Jason and the Argonauts, people can meet Midas after the gold ran out and relive the Odyssey through the eyes of a foot-soldier to discover what really happened in that wooden horse.
The critically acclaimed show, which was winner of the Three Weeks Editors’ Award, Edinburgh 2012, and has had countless five star reviews, will be putting on two performances at Create Theatre on Friday 22 February.
The show will entertain the kids, both big and small, and features legendary heroes, deadly monsters, epic fights and fantastical flights which merges physical theatre with high-jinx antics, song and drama.
Theatre co-ordinator Adam Pownall said: “I saw this production at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival after reading the amazing reviews they were getting.
“It has everything you want from a theatre production; comedy, romance, story-telling, tragedy and above all it’s educational. The three performers work very well as a unit and have great, entertaining characterization.”
