College to raise pounds for Pudsey
Staff and students at West Nottinghamshire College are digging deep in their pockets to raise cash for Children in Need.
Throughout the week the college’s Students’ Union is organising a range of fun events with the aim of beating last year’s total of £1,655 to raise over £2,000 for the national charity. Events include:
Wednesday 14 November
Pudsey Bear will be travelling to the college’s Chesterfield Road, Derby Road, Ashfield and Station Park campuses to collect donations.
Pudsey Bear merchandise will be available to purchase and students can take part in a logo quiz, a Pudsey Bear sweepstake as well as a prize tombola.
Thursday 15 November and Friday 16 November
Performing arts students are hosting comedy improvisation charity performances in studio 1 in the Create building at the Derby Road campus on Thursday and Friday from 12.30-1pm.
Friday 16 November
People can have a flutter on Pudsey bingo in the West One Diner at the Derby Road campus from 12.30-1.30pm.
Staff at the Butterflies Day Nursery will be having a pyjama day to raise funds.
Additional cash is being raised through cake sales across college sites.
Learner voice co-ordinator Sue Harries said: “Every year our students come up with many different and exciting ways to support this national charity. I hope everyone enjoys getting involved in something this week to help us raise our biggest funds ever for Children in Need.”
