Gifted young pianist to perform at college theatre
Concert pianist Julian Clef takes to the stage at West Nottinghamshire College’s Create Theatre next week.
At the concert on Saturday (20 October) Julian will be playing music by Beethoven, Chopin, Mozart and Gershwin and will be accompanied by Philip Robinson.
Julian, 22, who has played in Buckingham Palace and other prestigious venues across the UK, as well as Canada, Norway, Germany, Holland and India, will be joined by four soloists from internationally-renowned Cantamus Girls’ Choir.
He received no formal piano training until 2006 when he was accepted by Chetham’s School of Music, in Manchester. Since then he has been studying piano under the direction of Murray McLachlan.
The performance, which starts at 7.30pm, is recommended for those aged 16-year-old and above and all proceeds from the show will go to the Julian Clef Trust Fund.
