Gritty performance coming to college theatre
A contemporary theatre production will be taking the audience on a journey through ‘broken Britain’ for two evenings at Mansfield’s Create Theatre next week.
Great Britain - a performance by Mansfield-based Out of the Blue Arts theatre company - will tackle issues such as hate and prejudice challenging people to look at life a little differently.
The devised theatre piece showing at 7.30pm at West Nottinghamshire College’s Create Theatre on Thursday and Friday evenings (18 and 19 October) will highlight and explore the issues facing the people of Great Britain in today’s society.
As part of Mansfield Arts Festival in July 2012 the company interviewed local residents to gather material to create this community piece with local actors.
Out of the Blue Arts directly address issues that are facing our society in this modern age, and use the platform of theatre to enable audiences to question, interact and think about what they have experienced.
