Feng shui 'doctor' to put students straight
Television feng shui expert Paul Darby will be helping Vision West Notts media students to balance their energies as part of a college project.
Paul, who has run his 'Feng Shui Doctor' consultation business for over 20 years, has featured on a number of television and radio programmes, advising the public on matters relating to feng shui – the ancient art and science which looks at balancing energies within spaces to create good health and fortune.
On Monday (30 January) he will be working with students on the BTEC Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production (Film and Television), advising them on creating a positive set design for a television chat show-themed project they are currently working on.
Paul has previously appeared on television shows such as Richard and Judy, has worked for celebrity clients such as Russell Brand, Matthew Kelly and actress Jenny Seagrove, and was asked to use his feng shui skills to produce a negative hotspot in the Big Brother house in 2001 to create ‘tension’ within the household.
Media tutor Michael Rhodes said: “It will be very interesting for our students to get Paul’s holistic advice on creatting the chat show set in our television studio.
“Feng shui techniques are often referred to in the television industry when creating a positive and welcoming studio set for guests appearing on chat shows. Allowing our students to explore Paul’s alternative practice alongside their technical skills will add an interesting element to their studio project.”
