Chopstick Challenge!
The Chopstick Challenge at Ashfield is an on-going tournament throughout this week. The aim is to be the person to get the most peas from one bowl into the other using only chopsticks. The person to beat is Neil Rose who is in the lead, but there is still time to thrash his score! The real challenge for everyone was actually learning how to use the chopsticks! Students have been learning all about the Chinese New Year and taking part in activities like making a Chinese dragon and Chinese lanterns.
Child Care’s Chinese Cooking
Child Care students took a trip to Derby Road to take part in Chinese cooking and symbol writing activities. They spent the afternoon cooking Chinese meals and painting Chinese symbols. They also had the opportunity to see the College and meet new students
in preparation for going there next year. They had a very enjoyable afternoon and had tonnes of fun with lots of laughter, learning all about the Chinese New Year. A fun experience was had by all.
