Eastern European delights at college cafe
An eastern European menu is on offer at West Nottinghamshire College’s BAY6 Centre and coffee bar next week.
The centre, on Woodhouse Road, Mansfield, is preparing a selection of food traditionally associated with countries like Poland.
Menu options include Polish barley soup for just £1.50 and smoked sausage and sauerkraut, which is a cabbage dish flavoured with apples and brown sugar (£3).
For dessert diners can enjoy a baked blueberry cheesecake known as Sernik, which is baked with ricotta cheese, for only £1.
This is another opportunity for customers to sample themed meals laid on at the centre, which provides a practical training and working environment for students with learning difficulties or disabilities.
Food will be available from 10.00am to 2pm, with tea, coffee, cakes and sandwiches also served during these times.
People can just turn up although parties of eight or more are advised to book a table for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday on 01623 413027.
The BAY6 centre is open to the public for hot and cold refreshments.
