College creeps!
Travel and tourism students with their spooky stalls
Ghoulish games and tasty terrors were the order of the week, courtesy of a double-helping of Halloween fun at the Derby Road campus.
Tuesday (15 October) saw travel and tourism students hold a range of spooky stalls, where people could buy seasonal-themed sweets, candles and gifts, as well as win prizes by guessing the weight of a range of pumpkins.
Visitors could decorate their own cupcakes with a variety of Halloween cake toppings and icing, or have a go on the lucky dip box to win a prize.
The group raised £32.10 to go towards future events that they will run.
Wednesday (16 October) was the turn of business studies learners, who used their creative talents to offer guests spooktacular games and activities such as ‘poke the pumpkin’, guess how many body parts were in the jar to win a ‘boo bucket’ of goodies, and a ring toss game.
Also on offer were temporary tattoo applications while the tastebuds could be teased (or tormented!) by the chocolate apples dipped in different flavours, Halloween cupcakes and a variety of sweets.
This group scooped £80 to go back into their learning company coffins – erm, coffers!
Well done to all our enterprising and entertaining students for their eerie efforts this week.
