In the lead-up to the half-term break, students in the hairdressing and beauty therapy curriculum brought a chill to their skills with some colourful and macabre looks, ready for Halloween.
First to send shivers across the salons were level 2 make-up artistry students, who applied their knowledge of make-up learnt on the course over the last seven weeks.
Teacher Sam Brown said: “I’m incredibly impressed with their level of dexterity and creativity. They each created bespoke designs for the Halloween skull brief.
“They had different words of inspiration to stretch and challenge their skills further, such as rainbow, anatomy and Day of the Dead.
“Students also brought in their new knowledge of health and safety and what they’ve been shown about working professionally as a make-up artist within the industry.”
Next, bringing a ‘boo’ into beauty, was the level 1 hair and beauty group, who experimented with Halloween looks both through make-up and baking themed cookies in Refined.
Teacher Leanne Lewis said: “All the students loved the challenge. They showed such creative flair, it made me so proud of their results.”
