Healthcare group celebrates college qualifications
A Derbyshire-based division of a UK pharmaceutical distribution company is celebrating its achievements with West Nottinghamshire College.
Seventeen employees at Alliance Healthcare have successfully passed their Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Level 2 certificates within twelve months and tutor Celia Billau presented them with their certificates today.
Alliance Healthcare, the UK’s leading distributor and wholesaler of pharmaceutical, medical and health and beauty products, already holds the bronze Investors in People award for its commitment to staff development.
Service centre manager at Alliance Healthcare, Michael Fowler, said: “We’re incredibly proud of our staff for working so hard to achieve their team leader qualifications. Staff from all across the site, from warehousing to administration areas, have all shown real dedication to their studies.
“The majority of this group hadn’t studied since leaving school and they now have the skills to be the supervisors and managers of the future with the company.”
Tutor Celia Bilau added: “Every member of this group has displayed real enthusiasm towards their studies and the 100% pass rate has made both the college and Alliance Healthcare very proud. The ILM is an industry-recognised body and this certificate will equip them with the most up-to-date and relevant skills for their roles in the company.”
West Nottinghamshire College has worked with Alliance Healthcare for four years and has provided courses in customer services, administration, catering, IT, English for speakers of other languages and team leading to staff at the South Normanton site during this time.
