Well done BAY6!
Students from the college's BAY6 Centre joined deputy principal Patricia Harman today to present a cheque for £117.20 to Lizzie Edgerton, Macmillan Cancer Support fundraising manager for Nottinghamshire.
The centre, on Woodhouse Road, Mansfield, hosted its own coffee morning to raise funds for the Macmillan Cancer Support’s annual event (24 September) by selling coffee, cakes and snacks. Beauty therapy students from the town centre-based Academy attended the event where they offered nail-filing and painting to customers for a small sum to the charity.
Lizzie thanked students for their kind donation and described how the money will go towards helping cancer patients and their families who support them.
