Online A-Level event to guide future students
Those who are interested in studying A-Levels can attend an online information event run by West Nottinghamshire College on Tuesday (12 January).
The Mansfield and Ashfield Sixth Form College opens September 2021
The A-Level virtual open evening has been designed for future students to get an overview of what to expect as a college student in September 2021 when the college opens its dedicated Mansfield and Ashfield Sixth Form College on Chesterfield Road in Mansfield’s town centre.
Individuals will be given a live introduction to the 20 A-Level subjects as well as private one-on-one chats with tutors who will speak in detail about the range of subjects. Guests can chat to tutors from as many subject areas as they like for the duration of the event which runs from 5.30-7.30pm.
Principal and chief executive Andrew Cropley will be online to welcome people and speak more about the college and its continued success with A-Level subjects.
Student support teams will be on-hand for one-to-one chats who will be available to talk about everything from careers, travel and financial support to health and wellbeing.
Head of academic studies Amanda Gleadall said: “The online event will be the best way for those wanting to study A-Levels to get those all-important questions answered by our staff.
“We’re all incredibly excited to be opening the new sixth form college in Mansfield, which will be specifically equipped for our new A-Level student intake in September.”
Those who wish to attend the online information event should register their interest at www.wnc.ac.uk/Open-evenings-and-events.The college will then outline how to access the event.
