Fine food with refined entertainment
A relaxing and refined evening of jazz and good food is coming to a Mansfield restaurant this April.
Diners will enjoy a three-course meal with jazz music entertainment
Jazz night will be taking place at West Nottinghamshire College’s Refined fine dining restaurant on the evening of Thursday 19 April, when diners can experience a three-course meal with entertainment.
Music will be played courtesy of Unrelated – a piano and vocal duo, Jon and Laura, who perform jazz classics and contemporary songs in a jazz style.
The duo will create a relaxed and stylish atmosphere for diners in the college’s restaurant which has recently retained its AA College Restaurant Rosette for the second year running.
On the menu that evening will be starters including slow cooked aromatic duck leg with spring onion, cucumber and Peking ketchup, prawn cocktail or asparagus with poached egg, parmesan and truffle hollandaise and brioche.
Main dishes include pan fried chicken with wild garlic barley risotto, artichoke and spring onion and tarragon jus, or a trio of pork with apple pave, sage fondant potato and cauliflower with cider and sage jus.
There will be a vegetarian option of warm Mediterranean vegetable and mozzarella tian with ricotta and basil gnocci and a fish dish of crumbed plaice, parsley pomme puree, sapphire and purple sprouting broccoli with caper, fennel and citrus sauce.
Those with a sweet tooth can enjoy a passion fruit meringue pie or chocolate panna cotta with banana bread and caramelised banana, or rhubarb trifle.
The cost is £24.95 per head and places can be booked via the Refined website at www.refinedining.co.uk and tables will be available from 7pm.
