Back to the 80s at Create Theatre
One of the 1980’s most high-profile political and industrial stories will be hitting the stage at West Nottinghamshire College’s Create Theatre this October.
Daniel Mellor stars in Undermined
Undermined, tells the story of the 1984 miners’ strike and will explore the events and hardships that protagonist Dale and other miners faced throughout this incredible industrial struggle.
The play, which is being shown from 7pm on Saturday 1 October, is based on actual events and the audience will be invited into the action and taken on a journey with Dale and his friends.
Energetic storytelling and multi-rolling actors will deliver this powerful piece that many people can relate to, and it will reveal the story of friendship set against the ever-present backdrop of the strike.
On the same evening, the audience will be able to hear from Tosh McDonald, president of the train drivers union ASLEF. Tosh will talk about the fight back against the failed Tory policy of austerity and his vision for a socialist Britain.
Tickets for this double-billing cost £5 per person and can be purchased by calling 01623 416895.
