A dinner date in Paris for students
West Nottinghamshire College learners will be taking a flight to Paris this week for a day of sight-seeing and having dinner in the capital, during the Students’ Union’s first ever visit abroad.
The group of 16 students will fly on Thursday (18 March) from East Midlands Airport and will spend a day exploring the city and discovering the French culture.
Students have requested to visit popular tourist attractions such as the Eiffel Tower, L’Arc de Triomphe and Le Louvre museum.
Learner voice co-ordinator Sue Harries said: “This is the Student’s Union’s first ever international trip and we’re very excited about introducing our group of students to different cultures and experiences.
“The students have been very involved with planning the schedule and have requested that they try some authentic French cuisine at our dinner in the evening as well as practising their French vocabulary. They have shown a real interest in this first trip abroad and I am hopeful that it will be the first of many.”
