Thrice the advice at college
West Nottinghamshire College is hosting three open evenings to provide advice to would-be students and their parents, beginning next week.
Open evenings provide the chance to ask all those questions about life at college
Kicking off next Wednesday (3 February) is the university-level open evening at the college’s Derby Road campus, from 6-8pm.
People can discover more about studying a university-level course without leaving home, with lower course fees and smaller class sizes. Information will also be available about the college’s new university-centre which will be opening in September 2016.
Following this, there will be an engineering open evening at the Engineering Innovation Centre based at Oddicroft Lane, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, on Thursday 4 February from 5.30-7pm. People can tour the facilities and learn more about studying electrical, mechanical, motor vehicle engineering as well as fabrication and welding.
The Derby Road campus will play host to the main college open evening on Tuesday 9 February from 6-7.30pm. Young people and parents can talk to tutors about a range of courses after GCSE level as well as how the college prepares students to achieve their career goals.
