Academic Studies and Computer Science celebrate the year’s achievements
Students from the Academic Studies and Computer Science schools of learning at West Nottinghamshire College will be joining in celebration with family, friends and staff to collect outstanding achievement and personal achievement awards on 11th June.
The event, which will also recognise the students’ hard work in raising cash for several charity events throughout the year, will take place in the College’s Number 19 Brasserie.
One particular charity event that will be recognised is the Children in Need bowling tournament that got students into the team-building spirit back in November 2008. Winning teams will be congratulated for raising £241 for the national charity.
Piers Ching, curriculum team leader for the area, said: “It will be a great pleasure to hold this end-of-year event to say a huge 'well done' to some of our top performers from the two schools of learning.
“We want to recognise the dedication and hard work our students have put into their studies and extra-curricular activities. We also want to take the opportunity to wish students every success for the future, whether this is with our partner universities, entering employment or returning to college on higher level courses.”
