Students applaud staff at ‘Oscars’
It was the turn of staff at West Nottinghamshire College to be congratulated for their hard work at the ‘Oscars’ last week.

Almost 170 members of teaching, support and service staff were applauded by students who nominated them for an award for their dedication and services to the college over the last academic year.
From the 440 individual nominations, the student experience team organised three individual awards ceremonies at the college’s Derby Road campus and the construction and the engineering campuses.
At each campus the president of the Students’ Union, Will Jordan, joined with his team members to present awards and certificates to Best Curriculum Staff Member, Best Support Staff Member and – for the first time this year – Best Service Staff Member.
Will said: “I know everyone really enjoys this annual event as it’s the turn of the students to formally thank their tutors, support and service staff for their efforts and endeavours.
“Our learners put a lot of effort into completing some very heartfelt nominations for their favourite members of staff and it was a privilege to stage the Oscars as a big thank you.”
