Corrections policy

Readers should be able to see what a guide says, where its evidence comes from and what changes when a material error is corrected.

Report an error

Email [email protected] with the subject “Correction”, the article link, the passage concerned and any relevant primary source. Avoid unnecessary personal information.

Review and changes

Our editorial process is to compare reports with the evidence, jurisdiction and applicable date. Different opinions are not automatically factual errors. Where evidence is incomplete, uncertainty should be explained. Material corrections should carry a dated note describing the change. Spelling and formatting repairs do not create a new first-publication date.

No fixed response time is promised. If following up, include your original article link and the date of your report.
