Challenging topic brought to theatre
The subject of assisted dying is being movingly depicted in a play at Create Theatre this week.
Killing Roger will be performed by Sparkle and Dark Theatre Company on Saturday 7 June at 7.30pm.
The story follows Roger and Billy. As the memories of Roger's life unfold before us, Billy's troubled mind faces an unexpected question. Can the boy become a man and make a decision that will change both of their lives forever?
Following the success of five star runs in London and Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2013, Killing Roger comes to Mansfield as part of a national tour. Using stunning life-sized puppetry and original live music, this new play raises one of the most important questions of our generation in a moving and humorous tale of an old man and a boy at opposite end of their lives.
As the memories of Roger's life unfold, Billy's troubled mind faces an unexpected question. Can the boy become a man and make a decision that will change both of their lives forever?
Tickets for the show costs £12, £10 for concessions and £7 for students and can be purchased by calling 01623 413363 or visiting www.createtheatre.co.uk
