Chekhov's classic 'The Seagull' is coming to Create Theatre
The Seagull has been adapted by Shifting Sands theatre company to deliver the tragi-comedy through the eyes of a clown and injects new life into Chekhov’s classic using comedy and physical theatre, and is coming to the Mansfield-based theatre on Tuesday 6 May.
The story follows a famous actress called Arkadina and her son Konstantin. Their lovers all leap into action as they discover unexpected comic opportunities. The tension, arrogance and frenzy of emotion make this one of Chekhov’s major works.
Through the stormy tale of ambition and unrequited love, this touching theatre performance remains faithful to the original text.
