It’s time to get creative!
People with a passion for creative writing can sign up to a new evening class run by West Nottinghamshire College.
A ten-week creative writing course starts on Wednesday 19 September at Mansfield Library, West Gate, from 6-8pm.
Each weekly session explores a particular theme, topic or style in people’s preferred genre, with activities to support this.
Budding writers of all levels of experience are welcome.
Lynne Linacre, team leader for community education, said: “These fun and interactive sessions focus on enjoying the act of writing and exploring ideas, with the opportunity to share work in an open and supportive environment.
“All you need is a pen, something to scribble on and an enthusiasm for your own and others’ writing.”
The course is run in partnership with Nottinghamshire County Council. It costs £5 per session, although these are free to people claiming means-tested benefits.
