Students are fit to fight the Sheriff
Fitness students from Vision West Notts are limbering up for fun in the forest this weekend.
On Sunday (6 November) around 50 students on the personal training and gym instructor NVQ programmes will be taking part in the annual Robin Hood Adventure Challenge at Sherwood Pines Forest Park.
Students will choose to participate in either the Robin Hood 10km trail run, the Maid Marion 5km trail run or the gruelling Evil Sheriff off-road duathlon, consisting of a 5km run and 16km bike ride followed by a 3km run.
This will be the fourth consecutive year that Vision West Notts students have taken part in the challenge.
Programme area leader for sport, Lindsey Wilson, said: “The weekend promises to be great fun. Our students really enjoy competing with other athletes of all abilities and experience and they get a real sense of achievement from completing these challenges.”
