St Patrick to be honoured with Irish menu
Students at West Nottinghamshire College’s BAY6 coffee bar and café will be celebrating St Patrick’s Day in style next week.
In celebration of the Irish Saint’s day, learners will be serving up traditional Emerald Isle cuisine from Tuesday 15 to Friday 18 March.
Dishes on offer will be Irish carrot soup for £1.50, beef and Guinness pie with champ potato cakes and gravy for £3, followed by ‘Barm Brack’ – an Irish spiced fruit bread – for 50p, or a traditional Irish apple pie and custard for 80p.
Food will be available from 10.00am to 2pm, with tea, coffee, cakes and sandwiches also served during these times at the centre in Woodhouse Road, Mansfield.
People can just turn up although parties of eight or more are advised to book a table on 01623 413027.
BAY6 is open to the public for hot and cold refreshments and provides a practical training and working environment for students with learning difficulties or disabilities.
