We’ve got it covered – apprenticeships and careers!
It can’t have escaped your attention that this week we’re getting on board with a double national campaign - National Apprenticeship Week and National Careers Week (4-8 March).
Today (6 March) the careers and employability team is hosting a careers fair at both the Derby Road campus and at the construction campus, so that current students can see what their next steps might be, as part of National Careers Week.
Whether it’s a higher-level course they wish to go on to, university or employment, the team is on hand to advise, along with representatives from universities and businesses in the area.
Also, the college’s careers and employability team have put together some helpful tips to guide you all the way from searching for the perfect job to getting interview ready.
For those who are thinking of studying an apprenticeship, tomorrow evening (7 March) there’s an open evening from 5.30-7.30pm at the Derby Road campus. Visitors can find out all about the varied range of careers that an apprenticeship can lead on to, and people can apply for live vacancies on the night.
