Prize is music to Alex's ears
Teenager Alex Kirk has landed an early Christmas present – scooping an iPod Touch after winning an on-line competition run by West Nottinghamshire College
People registering to attend the college’s open day in November via its re-launched website were automatically entered into a prize draw.
Alex, a year 11 pupil at Joseph Whitaker School in Rainworth, was chosen at random as the winner.
The 16-year-old, from Rainworth, is considering enrolling on an electrical installation or gym instructor course at the college in September 2010.
He said: “West Notts College has a great reputation and offers a wide variety of courses so I think I’ll be joining next September.”
Paul Kitson, head of marketing and promotions, said: “The competition was run to promote the college’s new-look website and raise awareness of our full time courses open day in November.
“We’ll be running more competitions in the New Year so people should visit our website regularly to have a chance of winning some more fantastic prizes”.
