Discover college's range of professional courses
Individuals and businesses across Mansfield and Ashfield can learn more about the range of professional courses available in the area.
West Nottinghamshire College is holding an open evening on Tuesday 8 September from 5.30pm – 8.30pm to promote its professional qualifications.
It will be held at the college’s Station Park site in Julia’s Way, Kirkby-in-Ashfield – home to its state-of-the-art Construction and Logistics Skills Academy. From September, all of its professional studies courses will be run from this site.
Courses cover a range of subjects and are designed mainly for those already in employment who want to advance their careers by gaining industry-recognised qualifications, and those wishing to move into new positions in business but require some professional development.
The college offers qualifications across many areas including team leading, teacher training, management and leadership, coaching and mentoring, personnel practice, purchasing and supply, law and marketing, plus assessor and verifier awards.
The open evening provides an opportunity for people to seek further information about qualifications on offer, tour the facilities or enrol on a course.
Employers can discuss training packages for their workforce, which can often be delivered on their own premises, and book an appointment with one of the college’s business development specialists to discuss their wider business goals.
Alison Hall, Associate Director of Business, Professional and Continuing Education at West Nottinghamshire College, said: “We provide a wide range of professional qualifications that can be mapped across many areas of a business. If there are sufficient numbers of students, courses can be provided on the employer’s premises and tailored to meet their specific business needs.
“I urge any business that’s interested in developing their workforce or individuals wishing to gain a professional qualification to come along and find out more.”
