New course offers chance to rock!
Budding rock stars and guitar enthusiasts can sign up to a boot camp to learn more about the basics of playing the guitar at a discounted price.
Rockstart Bootcamp welcomes all abilities to learn guitar
The six-week course delivered by Rockstart Bootcamp takes place in West Nottinghamshire College’s Create building at the Derby Road campus and is designed to help people make the most progress of playing the guitar in the shortest amount of time.
Classes, which take place every Monday, will cater for children aged 14 and under at 5.30-6.30pm and for adults aged 14 and over from 6.45-7.45pm.
The full price of the course is £100 but if people book early before 12 October, the cost is just £75 and students who attend West Nottinghamshire College can secure a 50% discount from the full price.
The classes cater for people with mixed abilities and welcome beginners and advanced guitarists alike and will teach how to play chords, solo and a rock song.
Tutor Jack Gration said: “People can learn in a fun and supportive group environment with people of a similar ability as them and will be taught by one of our expert tutors. Once you’ve completed the level 1 beginner course you can come back and do the next level courses to advance what you’ve learnt.
“We’ve also got a taster session on Mondays and we have instruments that people can use in the lesson if they just want to come and try it before investing in a guitar.”
