Easter around the world at BAY6!

Tasty treats from home and abroad will be on the menu at West Nottinghamshire College’s BAY6 Centre and Coffee Bar next week.

Students will be serving up a selection of hot and cold food from Monday 30 March to Friday 3 April as part of an ‘Easter around the World’ menu.

People can tuck into an American glazed ham roll or sandwich with salad, priced £1.50, Portuguese custard tart priced 50p, or Greek lemon cake or a traditional English hot cross bun, costing 40p respectively.

These will be served from 10am to 2pm, with tea, coffee, cakes and sandwiches also available.

The Easter menu is the second in a series of specially-themed fayre being served up at the centre in Woodhouse Road, Mansfield.  It follows the St Patrick’s Day menu last week (16-20 March), with a British Week menu planned for April 20 to 24.

The students, who have learning difficulties and disabilities, are assisting College catering staff in planning the menus, as well as helping them to prepare and serve the meals to customers.

People can just turn up although parties of eight or more are advised to book a table on 01623 413027.

The BAY6 Centre provides a practical training and working environment for learners with learning difficulties or disabilities. It helps learners progress into employment by giving them work experience in a supported environment.
