A taste of Wales comes to college café

A flavour of the valleys is set to come to tables at West Nottinghamshire College’s BAY6 coffee bar and café next week (25 February – 1 March).

A taste of Wales themed menu will see Welsh leek soup for starters for £1.50 with cawl – a Welsh stew – with farmhouse bread and Caerphilly cheese for £3.  Glamorgan sausages and salad with red onion marmalade will be £2.70.

Those with a sweet tooth can enjoy apple pudding – known as pwdin afalau – for £1.

Food will be available from 10.00am to 2pm Monday to Friday, with tea, coffee, cakes and sandwiches also served during these times at the venue in Woodhouse Road, Mansfield.

BAY6 is open to the public for hot and cold refreshments and provides a practical training and working environment for students with learning difficulties or disabilities.

People can just turn up although parties of eight or more are advised to book a table on 01623 413027.
